Let Freedom Read: Banned Books Week Faculty Panel In-Person / Online

We are closing out the 2023 Banned Books Week celebrations with a panel discussion on intellectual freedom. Panelists will share their unique perspectives on censorship, the recent uptick in book challenges, and how we might fight against these attacks in our personal and professional lives.

Panelists: Dr. Nicole Amato, English Language Arts & Literacy Education; Curt Asher, Interim Dean of Library and Learning Resources; Dr. Aura Pérez-González, Early Childhood Studies; Dr. Elias Serna, Chicano/a Studies; and Dr. Eva Nicole Vines, Africana Studies.

This event is free and open to the public. It will be offered in person and online.
