Faculty Works in Progress: Dr. Daniel Shim & Dr. Rachel Koh In-Person / Online

Dr. Daniel Shim and Dr. Rachel Koh will present their paper entitled "Managerial Incentives for ESG [Environmental, Social, and Governance] Ratings in the Financial Service Industry: Main and Interaction Effects of ESG Ratings on Executive Compensation" in which they find "that ESG exhibits a strong direct association with top executive pay, suggesting that there exist managerial incentives for higher ESG performance [and corporate responsibility] in the financial sector." Lunch generously provided for in-person attendees by the Center for Integrative Studies.

Faculty Development and the Broome Library are collaborating to offer ways for faculty to share and discuss their research and creative activities through a bi-weekly series called "Works in Progress." This includes everything from a new research project being explored to something recently published. The series is biweekly, with in-person events on Thursday afternoons, and Zoom events on Friday afternoons.

The University encourages persons with disabilities to participate in its programs and activities. If you anticipate needing any type of accommodation, or have questions about the physical access provided, please contact Disability Accommodations and Support Services at (805) 437-3331 or accommodations@csuci.edu as soon as possible, but no later than 7 business days prior to the event.
